Amy Butler Bag

OMG I am turning into a bag production line! This is the Amy Butler Madison Uptown Bag. It was so quick and easy to make, it took as long to cut it out as it did to sew it up. Not long, all done in an afternoon. It's a nice size, an odd shape if you ask me. If I made it again I think I'd make it with a little more height and a bit narrower! I do like it thought and it's the sort of thing I am thinking of putting in my Etsy shop. Not sure how much to charge for something like this though. It didn't use a huge amount of fabric, probably only half a metre for the lining and then for the exterior.

On the bucket bag front, I took it to pick my daughter up from school today (yes I know it's Saturday) and to see how I felt with a bucket on my arm. I didn't mind it too much, so it may grow on me. I shan't waste any time yet lining it though. That may or may not happen at some point in the future.

Hope you all are having a good weekend. I'm off to cook tagliatelle!

Beautiful bag! The Amy Butler fabrics are lovely, unfortunately my sister has my sewing machine, again.......your bag might mean me reclaiming it, again..... :)
