Competition Time!

This is nearly my 100th post, and it was my dog's birthday last week, and I'm in a quandry as to what colour to knit my silver belle in. So, what better excuse for a competition??

All you have to do is this.....
Check out the (ahem,couple of) yarns I bought to help me make up my mind.



Leave a post saying which number yarn you think would look good in this knit, and on me. And for the winter, and with jeans!! Have a look on the link if you like. I have numbered them like so:

I'll draw the winner from a hat (yes, really a hat) on Sunday. The competition closes at midnight on Saturday 23rd September, my niece's 14th birthday!

Oh, the prize??? Some yarn from my stash...yes, you've had glimpses of what beauty lies in that, some stitch markers made by me and some Cadburys chocolate. You know you want it..........

Oh you are so helping me decide on a color & yarn as well! LOL

I like #1 & #3 for ME! :op

BUT for YOU I would say #4, #6, or #7 because you are more of a pastel girl and those colors are great for the fall with some chocolate pants or jeans! Love it!! Not sure how helpful that was for you! HAHA! But maybe it helped you narrow down your choices! Haha!

Number 7 because you look good in green and it goes with everything. Also it is such a great pattern you will want to wear it with everything!

I went for #6, it would go with jeans well and also is a nice winter shade :-) Congrats on coming up to 100 posts!

Not sure how much good I'll be as there are loads of colours I like there - #1, #3, #5. I think #1 or #5 for you - both autumnal colours and would go nice with jeans.

I'd go for #14 for you, for a little change. There is enough green to stisfy your liking for that and the yarn is pale enough to show off the cables etc without being washed out. It would look great with jeans too. But you pick what you really really like :)

BTW isn't #7 what you knit the Phildar swing jacket in? :)

You certainly have lots of choices and you could probably knit a couple SB. I think if you like pastels, you can for a change make one in a rich colour like #3 and #5. If I had more than one choice for myself, it would be #1,#3, #5 and #12! I had the same problem when I ordered the Jaeger yarn!

Hmm, this probably isn't going to help you much, but I like 3, 4, & 6. I think all three of those colors would look wonderful on you, but I think 3 would be lovely with jeans this fall.

Number 6 I think. Lovely and rich and not the usual blue to go with jeans.

I get the impression you're the kind of gel who likes lots of different colours, Liz!

But I think that I would go for #6 for you, as it's a lovely warm colour for the winter, and will look great with jeans. I think that if you go with too dark a shade, the pretty pattern won't show up quite so well.

Oh they are all so pretty and I'm sure they would all make a lovely selection for someone. But I think my favorite would be #3. In fact I'm wearing a top in just that color as I type! It goes great with a fashionable pair of jeans as well as various browns and creams in dressier pants.

I love *3,*7 and *14 the bestest! However, with your lovly blonde hair and wanting to wear it with jeans, I'm plumping for *14 on your behalf;)

You're right, it is really similar to the colour I knitted the swing jacket in! I should go for another colour for my silver belle!

No. 9 and number 14! The lighter colours will look great with dark skin and your complexion .

I'll vote for #4 or #8. I like a lot of the darker yarns too, but I don't think they'd show off the cables as well.

I think No. 4 or No. 13. It appears you love pastel colors, but for the Winter I think one of those 2 colors would definitely work and go well with Jeans and maybe add a pop of color with whatever top you wear with the ensemble.

No. 9 or 14, but really I like them all, so I'd end up knitting a big stripey blanket with all of those non-winners!

It's hard to choose there are few that I think would look beautiful but my 3 favorites are #'s 6,9,14
Good luck choosing a yarn. Then again if there are a couple that stand out you can always make more then one :)

I think #3 is a rich and sophisticated color.
